What is National Artificial Intelligence Roadmap 2021-2025?
Malaysia's five-year AI roadmap developed by MOSTI through a quadruple-helix consultation. It sets strategic thrusts on governance, R&D, infrastructure, talent and adoption, and identifies national use cases in five priority sectors: agriculture and forestry, healthcare, smart cities and transport, education and public services. It is guided by responsible AI principles including fairness, transparency, accountability and privacy.
Status note: Exact adoption/launch date not stated on official pages; the MASTIC file is dated 19 Oct 2021 and third-party trackers cite adoption on 1 Dec 2021, so 2021-12-01 is used as a month-level date. Superseded in 2026 by the Ministry of Digital's AI Nation 2030 direction.
