National AI Strategy - Second Edition 2025-2030
The second edition updates Egypt's 2021 strategy for 2025-2030 around six pillars: governance, data, infrastructure, technology, talent and ecosystem. It sets targets for AI specialists, startups and ICT's contribution to GDP, and includes plans for national foundational models and expanded regional and international cooperation.
Egypt's first national AI strategy framed AI as a tool for the country's sustainable development goals and for positioning Egypt as an active contributor to AI in Africa and the Arab region. It covered AI for government, development, capacity building and international activities. It has been superseded by the 2025-2030 second edition.
