Italy publishes Law 132/2025, the first national AI law in the EU
Law No. 132 of 23 September 2025 was published in the Official Gazette and entered into force on 10 October 2025, designating AgID and ACN as national AI authorities, adding sector rules for health, work, professions, justice and public administration, an under-14 consent rule and a deepfake offence.
